June 11th – Field Trip to Beaubears Island.
This is a rain or shine field trip (will be cancelled for thunder and lightning). Students are asked to have a packed lunch (that does not require heating) and do their best to dress for the weather. We will be taking a short boat ride from the dock in Nelson across to the island. We will spend the morning outdoors exploring the Island. After the trip we will stop for ice cream.
Spell-A-Thon:
A big thank you to everyone who participated in this years Spell-A-Thon. The proceeds help cover some of the cost for end of the year field trips for K-5.
Relay For Life
Relay for Life: The school has asked for a voluntary $2 donation from students for the Relay. This can be sent in Monday or Tuesday.
Grades 6-12 are fundraising for Relay for Life. If anyone is interested in donating, you can use the donation link below.
We will be walking outside most of the afternoon, please try to dress for the weather. If it’s raining heavily, we may be inside.
Literacy:
We are working on oa, ow, oe.
The vowel teams OA, OW, and OE spell the long o sound. OA usually comes in the middle of a word. OW usually comes at the end of a word. OE also comes at the end of a word, but OW is more common.
