Students are welcome to bring in a project showcasing 100 items or make a 100th day themed craft or even dress like they are 100 years old. This is completely optional; we will also be doing activities that day in class to celebrate the 100th day!

We are looking at compound words. Compound words are formed when two smaller, independent words are joined together to create a new word with a unique meaning.
Example: “rain” and “bow” combine to make “rainbow”.

We will look at ordering numbers least to greatest and greatest to least as well as ordinal numbers.

The value of the underlines digit is 60 (6 tens)
Base Ten

Comparing Numbers: 197 > 123

Looking for extra practice in math?
Students can always use extra practice with adding and subtracting numbers within 20.
Addition:
8 + 2 = 10
6 + 3 = 9
10 + 5 = 15
9 + 8 = 17
1 + 18 = 19
1 1 + 5 = 16
4 + 3 = 7
9 + 5 = 14
Subtraction:
19 – 6 = 13
12 – 8 = 4
17 – 9 = 8
9 – 5 = 4
13 – 8 = 5
16 – 6 = 10
20 – 7 = 13
18 – 9 = 9
