Literacy:

Last week, we talked about nouns, verbs and adjectives. This week, we will look at when to add an s or es to a word.

“es” – added to words ending in s, x, z, sh, ch, o.

“s” – added to one syllable words not usually ending in the above.

We will also review the following heart words.

Math:

We will continue to work on addition and subtraction with differences (answers) under 20 but move on to expressing numbers larger than 100 (place value, greater than, less than and Base 10).

Show and Tell – students can bring an item to school tomorrow to show the class. Please do not send any valuable items, tablets or cell phones.

We will do a quick review of previous sounds and rules this week. This includes all digraphs and bossy e words.

Math:

We will continue to look at addition and subtraction with differences (answers) under 20 using a number line.

Outdoor Time:

Just a reminder to try and have students ready to go outside when they arrive at school (Snow pants, hat, mittens and jacket). If the temperature allows it, students start their day playing outside.
